strawberries Market Vendor: Jolie Vue Farms

Jolie Vue raises fresh eggs, chicken, duck, turkey, pork and beef in an all-natural environment where our creatures, grasses and soil all complement each other. We do not contribute to the poisonous runoff into the streams and rivers that one finds on the conventional, chemical-laden farms of the "modern" farming era. To paraphrase a popular city slogan, at Jolie Vue, what is dropped on the farm stays on the farm.

Our pastures display the wide range of native grasses, clovers and herbaceous vegetation originally found on the Great Plains, as well as the grasshoppers, earthworms and insects that are attracted to the pasture. This sets the table for all of our creatures, who free-range across this wide range of nutrients for a diverse diet which contrasts with the monotonous diet and lives of the poor cage-raised animals. We believe a happy, free creature turned loose in this setting makes a superior meat for your table - and lab analysis verifies that.

Because we believe that traditional methods are superior to modern methods, we also stress heritage animals at our farm. Our cattle are original stock Angus, imported from Ireland; our pigs are primarily Berkshires, revered for more than 250 years for their unforgettable taste and moisture; our turkey is the Red Bourbon, believed to be the meat at the first Thanksgiving shared by the Pilgrims and the native Indian. And so on.

Enjoy the meats and eggs of Jolie Vue - it is good for the environment, good for the animal, and good for you!
