strawberries Real Food, Naturally Encore: Is This Coincidence?

by Glen Boudreaux, Jolie Vue Farms

Guess what? Meats produced the "modern" way have a blood profile that looks much like a person that is cardiac-challenged. High cholesterol, high LDLs, low HDLs, an absence of Omega 3s, low in vitamin E, high triglycerides. Those are just some of the comparisons.

On the other hand, meats derived from pasture-based creatures have everything our cardiologists would love to see in our blood profile. Lower cholesterol, higher HDLs, lower LDLs and triglycerides, Omega 3s that are in balance with Omega 6s, and chock full of vitamins, including the anti-oxidant, Vitamin E.

Is it just coincidence that our profiles mimic the food we eat? Make up your own mind, but you can find the healthy meats, chemical-free fruits and vegetables, and preservative-free artisan foods at The Houston Farmers Market every Tuesday evening and Saturday morning, rain or shine. And while you are there, you are supporting humane farmers who are good for the planet and good for you.

Which of the two choices do you want to mimic?
